secunet, an IT security provider, has launched Secure Industry 4.0 Solution. It includes security for industries 4.0 encompassing new technologies such as Big Data, Augmented Reality, cloud computing, 3D virtualization, and advanced robotics.

Networked sensors, machines, and systems in industry 4.0 increase complexity in the enterprise, adding to the risk of system errors and hence allow new attack routes for cybercriminals.  The IT infrastructure has the mandate to enhance connected enterprise, but also maintain security against external threats. It is a fine balance.

This new industry solution at the edge of the network helps to isolate machines from the web. The flow of data is controlled between defined sections, as required by the protection needs of the zones. At the same time, the solution allows the secure connection of devices and machines to internal and external IT services, IoT platforms and forms the central component of Remote Services for safe remote access scenarios.

“Our solution is currently being used by several customers worldwide and is available for testing in customer projects. The solution promises IT and OT security without side effects and effects on machines, systems, and production processes and offers a flexible and future-oriented platform for current and future application cases,” explains Johan Hesse, Managing Director of secunet International GmbH & Co KG.
