Macrometa Corporation, a provider of a serverless edge cloud solution, announced the appointment of Joshua Petty as the Vice President of Products and Marketing and Christopher Meiklejohn as Consulting Scientist.
Meiklejohn is a researcher in the field of distributed systems and databases. He contributed towards the field of Conflict-Free Replicated Data Types (CRDTs) – a new approach to creating highly efficient, large scale, and communications systems. He contributed to the development of Riak, AntidoteDB, and published original, noteworthy research on the use of Conflict-Free Replicated Data Types.
“As our Consulting Scientist, Christopher is helping Macrometa formalize the mathematical proofs of our core distributed database algorithms and architecture. He is also involved in helping us develop new approaches to removing the most important constraints in building fault-tolerant and highly resilient geo-distributed databases,” said Chetan Venkatesh, Co-Founder, and CEO of Macrometa.
Joshua Petty was a Chief Strategist across mid-market and global accounts and is committed to a customer-focused market. He stated that “Macrometa has created an incredible technology that expands the universe of use cases that can run on the edge. What excites me the most about Macrometa is the ability to solve problems that current cloud architectures are ill-equipped to handle.”
