DXC Technology to Provide Data Analysis Support to BMW

By Suprotik Sinha - April 08, 2019 2 Mins Read

DXC Technology has signed an agreement with BMW to develop its autonomous vehicle on the High-Performance D3 support platform

The BMW Group’s D3 platform supports the in-house autonomous vehicle development program and collects excessive amounts of road travel data from the global BMW’s R&D fleet. By using DXC’s digital solution, BMW’s R&D teams will be able to collect and manage vehicle sensor data in seconds, which results in faster autonomous drive development cycles.

“The next 5 years will be pivotal as technology and partner ecosystems continue to help revolutionize the automotive industry. DXC welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with BMW Group to advance autonomous driving development capabilities,” said Edward Ho, Executive Vice President, and General Manager, Offerings, DXC Technology.

DXC Technology enables autonomous driving R&D by advancing engineering and testing cycles. The DXC Robotic Drive built on an open-source ecosystem, is available on-premises or in a cloud or hybrid environment, enabling a rapid shift of workloads.

Using a single platform for storage, processing and training help to reduce hardware and software costs and complexity. Data collation cost and data accuracy are further enhanced by allowing global collection and centralized monitoring and analysis.
