Amazon-owned robotic firm Zoox has announced that it has acquired Strio.AI.
The acquisition is more of an acqui-hire as the senior engineers of the Strio.AI team will be integrated into Zoox.
The move also will allow the Bay Area-based Zoox opening its first East Coast R&D site with the Strio team. The acquisition aims at Strio winding down the ag tech work, instead integrating their work in things like perception into Zoox’s broader robotaxi plans.
