Video conferencing app Zoom experienced an outage yesterday, as users across the globe were unable to join or start a meeting. Zoom acknowledged the issue, resolved it, and even released an update for the same.
Downdetector.com, an outage tracking website showed nearly 17,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Zoom earlier. The outage occurred mostly across the United States, with the most reports on the East Coast, and Europe. The company did not provide details on the cause of an outage.

The COVID-19 pandemic had benefitted Zoom due to the Government imposed lockdown and remote working model. The video conferencing app currently has 300 million daily meeting participants today, up from 10 million regular meeting participants in December.
