Zoom Expands its Platform with Native App Integrations and Virtual Event Hosting-01

Zoom Video Communications Inc. expects the public availability of Zoom Apps, which allows people to use dozens of third-party products directly within its platform, would increase worker productivity.

The new service was unveiled alongside Zoom Events, a new online event hosting platform that allows organizations to conduct interactive, virtual events and communicate with their customers.

The Zoom App Marketplace, which was launched last year, now offers a new form of an application called Zoom Apps. Zoom Apps allow third-party applications to be integrated directly into the Zoom Meetings client. This is in contrast to the existing Zoom Marketplace apps, which instead integrate Zoom Meetings into third-party programs.
