Zoom Video Communications Inc. announced that it has agreed to buy cloud contact center operator Five9 Inc. for USD 14.7 billion in an all-stock deal.

Five9, which was founded in 2001, provides cloud software for enterprise contact centers through a software-as-a-service platform that has seen fast development in recent months as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The company advertises its service as giving businesses reliable, secure, compliant, and scalable cloud contact center software that improves customer experiences and it is designed to help enterprises transition operations from outdated on-premise data centers to the cloud.
