Westpac to bolster digital offering with MoneyBrilliant acquisition

Westpac has signed an acquisition agreement with AMP Limited to acquire its MoneyBrilliant cash management system at an undisclosed fee.

MoneyBrilliant is a budget and cash flow tool designed to help users manage their money by showing financial accounts and details in one place. Westpac said the plan ultimately incorporates MoneyBrilliant technology into its digital banking system. The acquisition is expected to be completed next month.

Just last week, Westpac announced more than 800,000 mobile customers using Android 10+ will be upgraded to a new version of its mobile banking system in the coming weeks.
