Web3 Protocol Saga Raises 6.5M USD for Scalable Blockchain Infrastructure

Saga, a Web3 protocol that automates the deployment of application-specific Blockchain, raised 6.5 million USD. Polygon Studios, Longhash Ventures, Strangelove Ventures, Maven 11, Hypersphere, Chorus One, GSR, C2X, Crit Ventures, and Merit Circle were among the investors who participated in the seed round.

The round follows a 2 million USD pre-seed round led by Ignite Inc., formerly Tendermint, as part of an incubation programme in late 2021, bringing the total funded to 8.5 million USD. Over the next few months, Saga plans to focus on improving the functionality of the AlphaNet infrastructure and on boarding developers into the Innovator Program.

According to Saga, using the new infrastructure, developers will be able to deploy chainlets as simply as any other aspect of now-traditional Blockchain technology, such as smart contracts.
