VMware and Nvidia Join Forces to Help Businesses Scale up AI Development

VMware Announces the Launch of VMware Edge-01

Enterprises can now run trials of their AI projects by using VMware vSphere with Tanzu and the Nvidia AI Enterprise software suite, as part of both companies’ efforts to ease AI development and application management.

Nvidia claims that by extending testing to vSphere with Tanzu, developers would be able to run AI workloads on Kubernetes containers within their existing VMware settings.

“Nvidia has gone and invested in building all of the next-generation cloud application-level components, where you can now take the NGC libraries, which are container-based, and run those in a Kubernetes orchestrated VMware environment, so you’re getting the ability now to go and bridge the world of developers and infrastructure,” says Lee Caswell, VP of VMware cloud infrastructure business group marketing.
