Vertica Expedites it’s Move to the Cloud and is Generally Available on Amazon Web Service-01

Vertica’s new managed cloud service, dubbed Vertica Accelerator, has been in the works for some time and is finally being unveiled. Vertica Accelerator, which will be initially available on AWS, will be a service that users can purchase using their existing AWS cloud credits, with Vertica handling all of the underlying housekeeping.

Accelerator is based on Vertica’s Eon technology, which offers a cloud-native separation of compute and storage that runs not only in the compute tier but also in the storage layer, thanks to support for MinIO and other third-party object storage systems for on-premises installations.
