Josh Hawley, the US Senator and a Republican who is a critic of Big Tech, has recently announced the introduction of a bill – which will ban all mergers and acquisitions by prominent technology companies.
It is applicable for organizations with a market value of over $100 billion – a category that involves the top five US technology companies.
The new bill by Hawley tackles is significantly tougher and some of the problems and measures are similar to the antitrust bill released by Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar.
As per Hawley, “I’m willing to work with her and anybody of any party and any background. I like a lot of what Senator Klobuchar has proposed.”
