
Twilio, a communications API company, has announced the launch of Twilio Ventures, a US$ 50 million fund created to invest in companies that use Twilio or those that work with new innovative ideas.
With the company shifting to customer-focused applications with the acquisition of the US$ 3.2 billion Segment last year, customer experience has become a major part of the focus for Twilio Ventures as it looks for companies to fund.
The company will invest in Series A rounds but will go later or earlier if the company matches well. Checks are usually between US$ 1 million to US$ 3 million.
