Trump Commands Security Risks Assessment of Chinese Drones

Donald Trump has recently signed an executive order pointing to the US agencies to evaluate the potential security risks from the Chinese-made drones. This is also applicable to the drones made by other countries deemed foreign adversaries like Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

The President has ordered all US agencies to draft the threat landscape posed to existing administration drone fleet from American government fleets – on a priority to remove them.

Trump’s statement also directs the organizations to shape the “potential steps that could be taken to mitigate these risks, including, if warranted, discontinuing all federal use of covered (drones) and the expeditious removal of (drones) from federal service.”
