Tenable, a cyber-security firm buys industrial security start-up Indegy, to boost OT Protection. The acquisition worth $78 million will extend the capabilities in areas like vulnerability management, asset inventory, configuration management, and threat detection. Indegy offers protection for industrial control systems from a cyber, insider, and operator error (non-malicious intent) threats- with the help of visibility into ICS networks.
This acquisition will give Tenable a leg up in the newly emerging operational technology market that will allow customers to view and manage OT security.
