Cloud-native authorization startup Styra Inc., the creator of Open Policy Agent, has announced new features for its enterprise-grade decision engine Enterprise OPA.
Enterprise OPA, formerly known as Styra Load, is intended to provide organizations with a drop-in replacement for Open Policy Agent that has better performance, native integrations for a variety of data sources, and extra features like policy decision analysis.
The main modification is the move to offering Enterprise OPA source with a commercial licence. The service was previously only offered in binary or container formats.
Despite supporting the majority of use cases, the formats prevented Enterprise OPA from being integrated directly into applications for performance optimization, which necessitates having access to the source code.
