StreamNative Publishes Report on the Data Streaming Ecosystem

StreamNative, a company founded by the creators of Apache Pulsar and Apache BookKeeper, recently published a report comparing Apache Pulsar to Apache Kafka in terms of performance benchmarks. Its Pulsar-as-a-Service cloud enables enterprises to “access data as real-time event streams.” Pulsar can achieve 2.5 times the maximum throughput of Kafka, according to StreamNative’s benchmarks. 

Pulsar consistently publishes in the single digits, which is 100 times faster than Kafka at P99.99 (ms). Additionally, as the company notes, the report focuses exclusively on technical performance comparisons.
