The open-source Apache Pinot data analytics platform is being commercialized by StarTree Inc., a business, and it recently revealed that it has raised USD 47 million in fresh funding. Following a USD 24 million Series A investment that StarTree announced in May, the Series B funding round was completed.

The startup’s most recent funding round was headed by GGV Capital, one of the investors from last year. Additional contributors included CRV, Sapphire Ventures, and Bain Capital Ventures. Following its most recent USD 47 million fundraising round, StarTree will engage in new sales and marketing strategies in order to keep expanding its customer base. Other components are also a part of StarTree’s growth strategy. The firm will establish a presence in India and plans to quicken the pace of its product development schedule.

Through the end of 2023, StarTree anticipates dramatically expanding its current 70-person staff as part of the initiative.
