Starburst Data has announced the Starburst Galaxy’s public beta, the latest managed cloud service built using Kubernetes. It was initially on AWS. Starburst is eventually striving to make its service work over every significant cloud.
The Galaxy managed cloud service, available with on-demand or yearly billing, covers all the technical details around handling data sources and clusters. It manages Starburst clusters, SQL IDE, Insights, integrated data governance, and the metadata catalog through a service accessible by self-service signup.
With Galaxy, consumers select target data sources, connectors and set user credentials. Also, they can get started without having to define compute examples or other configurations.
