SoftBank Rolls Out _100 Million Fund for Entrepreneurs of Color

SoftBank has announced the launch of a$100 million fund to invest in startups from
entrepreneurs of color. The move comes from SoftBank with an aim to improve diversity in the tech space. The Opportunity Growth Fund will be focused on African Americans and Latinos in the U.S. It will initially start with $100 million and is expected to grow overtime with other limited partners. The company said it will not take a traditional management fee on the Opportunity Growth Fund and will invest in companies that are using technology to “disrupt traditional business models.”
