The Sigstore community announced the wide release of its free software signing service for open source projects at SigstoreCon, a co-located event at the CNCF’s KubeCon/CloudNativeCon conference in Detroit.
With more than 4 million signatures logged to date, Sigstore is already among the most quickly adopted open source projects ever. It is utilized by the Python and Kubernetes communities to sign their releases. To guarantee the provenance of its packages, npm, the well-known JavaScript package manager, is currently integrating Sigstore.
