Samsung Kick Starts Construction of $220 Million R&D center in Vietnam

Samsung Electronics has started building a $220 million research and development (R&D) center in Vietnam. According to the company, the construction of the center in Hanoi will be completed by the end of 2022, and it will employ between 2,200 – 3,000 people.

Microsoft Introduces $40 Million AI for Health Initiative

Samsung is the largest foreign investor in Vietnam, with investments totaling $17 billion. The R&D center is the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia and will enhance the company’s research capability in such areas as artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), big data, and 5G.
