Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has introduced new DRAM memory chips that the company expects to perform much better than the firm’s older silicon.
According to the company, the technology will be available in a variety of iterations. The new memory chips from Samsung are built using GDDR6 DRAM, a type of DRAM used for graphics processing units. To store the data, they process, GPUs have a sizable quantity of onboard memory.
The tech giant claims that its GDDR6 DRAM chips can run both data center graphics cards designed for artificial intelligence and supercomputing use cases as well as high-end consumer GPUs.
