Russia Fines Google Again for Failing to Remove Banned Content-01

A Moscow court recently has fined Alphabet Inc’s Google US$80,881 (about 6 million roubles) – as it failed to delete certain content that Russia deems as illegal, and this is the second penalty to be imposed on the US-based tech giant within a week’s time.

Amid a wider standstill with big technology companies, Russia has hit Google and some other companies with several small fines in the past year. The tech giant confirmed the penalties but did not provide any further comments.
