Russia concluded various tests checking that the country could function and use the internet if it back out from the WWW. The Communications Ministry of Russia conducted a series of tests over the past few days, along with local ISPs and other internet companies.
The aim was to test if RuNet, Russia’s national internet infrastructure could work without access to external internet and global DNS system. The review showed that the country could respond to threats and operate the internet effectively.
