Rocky Linux Developer Lands 26m USD Funding For Enterprise Open-Source Push

CIQ has received 26 million USD in funding to help it extend the use of Rocky Linux in the industry. The Rocky Linux’s founding sponsor and services partner has raised 26 million USD in Series A funding from Two Bear Capital. 

The investment follows CIQ’s collaboration with Google Cloud to provide Rocky Linux support to customers. Rocky Linux adoption has been “huge,” according to CIQ, with monthly downloads of OS images averaging 250,000 and hitting 750,000 in a particularly busy month. 

The company was working on a platform for enterprise High-Performance Computing (HPC), HPC centres, and those conducting AI and ML in the cloud before the release of Rocky Linux.
