Storage technology pioneer Pure Storage has announced that its software for managing public cloud block storage is now available on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service, adding to the company’s existing offering for Amazon AWS.
Customers can use the software – Pure Cloud Block Store for tasks such as creating clones of data volumes and replicating data from an on-premise storage assembly to cloud storage services.
Cloud-native customers can see significant cost savings with Pure’s industry-leading data reduction capabilities through reduced management overhead usually associated with cloud-native block storage by removing the need to manage bandwidth, IOPS, and capacity of individual volumes.
