Palo Alto Networks announced new security features for its Prisma Cloud solution, including container image sandboxing for developers and DevOps teams.

In addition, the tool will now execute a third-party container image in an isolated environment, utilizing machine learning to undertake a pre-deployment inspection of processes, file systems, and networking activities.

Palo Alto Networks claimed in a statement that today’s launch “delivers a leap in what’s achievable for container security,” by using their excellent machine learning to third-party, or any, image, regardless of provenance, allowing customers to run these in a pre-deployment sandbox.
