Oracle recently announced that its Autonomous Data Warehouse would be expanded, allowing large groups of new potential users to benefit from ADW’s benefits of automating formerly laborious operations.
Oracle calls the new features “the first self-driving database,” and their objective is to fully transform cloud data warehousing from a complicated ecosystem requiring abundant expertise into a simple, point-and-click experience. It allows all types of workers, from engineers to analysts and data scientists to business users, to access, collaborate with, and generate business insights using data without IT.
The quantity of expertise required at many steps along the data pipeline is a substantial obstacle to data work producing business value across industries.
