Oracle Announces New Updates for its Analytics Cloud

Big Red introduced a range of newly added capabilities to its cloud-based business intelligence (BI) offering – Oracle Analytics Cloud, as part of its Oracle Live virtual event series.

OAC is a cloudified, streamlined offering of Oracle’s entire BI portfolio that was first announced two years ago. Oracle Analytics for Fusion Applications and Oracle Analytics Server have corresponding on-premises and application-based platforms, with OAC serving as a stand-alone cloud offering.

The announced features all revolved around putting business, self-service, and augmented analytics, including AutoML, together. In addition, the components of the OAC platform will undergo a user interface refresh based on Oracle’s “Redwood” design principles in the coming months.
