Red Hat has continued to tweak its popular and leading Kubernetes and Linux to harvest maximum benefits and to keep in step with increased importance to edge computing. The organization has added new computing features and capabilities for Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). With the new capabilities, RHEL will be highly stable for even small hardware footprints. OpenShift will help support the remote worker node infrastructure to provide Kubernetes in remote and space-constrained deployments.
The organization believes that edge computing needs an open hybrid cloud. Red Hat has also added further capabilities to the recently launched OpenShift 4.6. New updates are also planned to enable developers to shift from legacy apps to cloud-native programs.
