Okta announced its plans to acquire Auth0, a cloud-based identity management for developers, in a stock transaction estimated at about $6.5 billion. The boards of directors of both organizations have accepted the deal, which is anticipated to end during the quarter closing July 31.
Todd McKinnon, CEO at Okta said in a statement that by joining Auth0’s developer-centric identity solution with the Okta Identity Cloud will boost tremendous value for current and future consumers. Also, in the digital era, identity is the unifying method to use technology at work and in personal lives.
