Nvidia Competes with Intel and AMD turf in Supercomputers

On Monday, Nvidia Corp, an American multinational technology company incorporated in Delaware and based in Santa Clara, California, announced it has partnered with the U.K.’s University of Bristol to develop a new supercomputer utilizing a new Nvidia chip to compete with Intel Corp and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

Nvidia is a vendor of graphics processing units (GPUs), which are in demand because they can be utilized to accelerate artificial intelligence work. For instance, OpenAI’s ChatGPT was developed with thousands of Nvidia GPUs.
