Nvidia has unveiled the Jetson Xavier NX module for artificial intelligence (AI) edge computing. The company claims the module is the world’s smallest supercomputer that can be used for deploying AI systems on devices like drones, robots, and cars. The latest release from Nvidia joins the chipmakers Jetson product line that comprises the Jetson AGX Xavier, Jetson TX2 series, and Jetson Nano.
The Jetson Xavier NX module is smaller than a credit card. It runs off a six-core SoC based on Arm’s Carmel microarchitecture and has a low power consumption of as little as 10 watts. Nvidia claimed its Jetson Xavier NX topped all five benchmark metrics when measuring the performance of AI inference workloads.
