Nvidia has announced the acquisition of networking software provider Cumulus Networks. The move comes from the chipmaker as it prepares to boost its capabilities and heavily push software-defined data centers. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition will help Nvidia to share analytics platforms such as Cumulus NetQ that allows an enterprise and cloud-scale data centers to control their operations. Nvidia closed a $7 billion acquisition of Mellanox last week.
