In a significant partnership drive, Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia has collaborated with cloud majors such as Microsoft, Google Cloud, and Amazon for producing 5G solutions.
Tomi Uitto, Nokia President of Mobile Networks, said in a statement that open collaboration drives the development of novel and innovative high-value 5G use cases that will equip customers with the tools they require for digital transformation.
In collaboration with Google, the two organizations will cooperate in collective solutions by combining Nokia’s Radio Access Network (RAN), Cloud RAN (vRAN), and Open RAN, and edge cloud technologies with Google’s edge computing platform and applications environment.
