Nokia, a leading networking equipment provider, has announced its decision to sign a multi-year agreement with Google as its cloud infrastructure vendor. The organization plans to migrate its software applications, global data centers, and servers onto the Google Cloud infrastructure over the next 18- 24 month time period.
Nokia said that the agreement is an indicator of the organization’s operational shift towards the cloud-first IT strategy. This shift will also help the company manage the digital operations and expand the remote employees’ collaboration capacities. As per the deal, Nokia will use the Google Cloud products and services suite. Its applications and infrastructure will run on the SaaS model or public cloud.
