Nokia Announces Software Upgrade to 5G

Nokia has recently announced the launch of new software that will enable mobile operators
in upgrading their 4G radio stations into 5G technology. This is even without any equipment
replacement or site visit, and the upgrade is available immediately.

The company hopes that the software will help in its battle against Huawei and Ericsson –
for the next wave of 5G orders.

As explained by Nokia, “Nokia is helping to streamline the process of reframing 4G spectrum into 5G. This solution will save the telecommunications industry, potentially tens of billions of euros in site engineering and re-visit costs.”
