NIST Seeks Assistance in Building Framework for Managing AI Risks-01

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a part of the US Department of Commerce, is seeking public opinion on an artificial intelligence risk management framework that the institution is creating as a strategy to manage the risks posed by AI.

The Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) will be a non-binding document that developers, assessors, and others can use in order to increase AI system trustworthiness.

NIST stated that the request for input came after the White House and Congress asked the organization to develop an AI framework.
