Microsofts _16 Billion Purchase of Nuance Approved by the US Antitrust Authorities

According to a filing provided to the government by Nuance Communications Inc (NUAN.O), Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) has received antitrust approval for its deal to buy artificial intelligence and speech technology business Nuance Communications Inc (NUAN.O).

The $16 billion transactions were revealed in April after the two businesses collaborated in 2019 to automate healthcare administrative tasks like documentation.

The deadline for the US government to object to the purchase had expired on June 1, Nuance stated in a report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.
