Microsoft has recently announced it is willing to cut down the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC support period – cutting it down from ten to five years. The tech giant is making it tricky for users who have aimed for long-term servicing updates – this is a way to avoid the feature updates for Windows 10.
People using Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2015, 2016, or 2019 will not be affected by the latest support change and will still get ten years of support.
The changes are effective from the one coming in the H2 of 2021, Windows 10 21H2. Microsoft has emphasized the intent of LTSC releases in order to support the mission-critical systems.
