Microsoft Corp. has warned to restrict access to its internet-search data, that it offers licenses to rival search engines if they won’t stop using it as the foundation for their own artificial intelligence chat products. Competing search engines leverage Microsoft’s web index. According to a report by Reuters, the company warns customers it may cut them off. Microsoft licenses Bing search index data to other companies that provide web searches, like Apollo Global Management Inc.’s Yahoo and DuckDuckGo.
