Microsoft says it found malicious software in its systems

Microsoft Corp has recently announced that it found malicious software within its systems. This is related to a massive hacking campaign, as disclosed by US officials this week. Lately, there has been a rising list of attacked government organizations.

Microsoft is a user of Orion, which is a widely deployed networking management solution from SolarWinds. It has already been suspected of the Russian attacks on critical US agencies and others.

As a result, the country’s National Security Agency issued an updated cybersecurity advisory – detailing how Microsoft Azure cloud tools could have been compromised by threat actors. It also directed users to lock their systems.
