Microsoft and Meta are expanding their AI cooperation, with Meta choosing Azure as a “strategic cloud provider” to help it speed its own AI research and development.
On Day 2 of the Microsoft Build 2022 developers conference, Microsoft executives revealed further information regarding the latest developments in the Microsoft-Meta cooperation. The two companies also announced today that they will work together to expand PyTorch usage on Azure. This week, Microsoft also revealed that the Azure OpenAI Service is officially in preview. Those who participate in the preview will have access to a variety of OpenAI models, including the GPT-3 base series (Ada, Babbage, Curie, and DaVinci), the Codex series, and embedding models, and will be able to mix them with Azure’s enterprise capabilities.
