Microsoft Acquires RPA Firm Softomotive

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of robotic process automation (RPA) firm Softomotive. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will help to bolster Microsoft’s Power Automate platform.

Microsoft will use Softomotive’s tools to a range of new capabilities, including Softomotives low-code desktop automation solution WinAutomation in its Power Automate platform. As a result of the acquisition, the WinAutomation platform is now available for free to existing Power Automate customers with RPA attended licenses.
