Macquarie Telecom Obtains AU$20 Million Cybersecurity Contract with ATO

Macquarie Telecom has secured a cybersecurity contract of AU$20 million with the Australian Taxation Office. MacTel to deliver its SIG service for the first three-year contract that will help in achieving the connection between the ATO’s IT environments and the internet. It includes leveraging the company’s security systems, data centers, and cloud computing platforms. Besides, ATO obtained about AU $ 151 million for three years to upgrade its data storage and operations when the federal government shared the mid 2019-20.

MacTel will improve its SIG and continue adding its cybersecurity tech portfolio, alongside other products. With this contract, MacTel is expecting the group capital spending to be within AU $ 61 million – $ 64 million for the 2020 financial year.
