Lumen Pushes the Microsoft Azure Collaboration to the edge

Lumen Technologies, previously CenturyLink, has chosen Microsoft Azure as its preferred public cloud provider for enterprise workloads and will integrate Azure’s enterprise application capabilities into its platform. Lumen has been chosen as a preferred partner by Microsoft, which will support Azure internationally through Lumen’s networking, infrastructure, and managed services.

Lumen’s SVP of product management and services, Paul Savill, clarifies that “preferred partner” status does not imply exclusivity; Lumen continues to work with a variety of cloud service providers, and Savill says Lumen is committed to serving organizations’ multi-cloud setups. According to Savill, they saw Microsoft as a great partnership prospect.
