LastPass, a password management company, has announced that its main product, LastPass Vault, now supports password less login. The LastPass Authenticator app for iOS and Android will allow users to log in to their password manager account using the new sign-in technique.
According to the company, this makes LastPass the first password manager to have its own authenticator. For businesses, the addition of this new functionality eliminates the password as a potential point of failure, preventing threat actors from using credential-based assaults and phishing scams to target users.
The organization claims that it plans to help businesses deploy a zero-trust strategy to give users more convenient sign-on alternatives.
