Italy Agrees to Single Network Plan with TIM’s Deal

Reportedly, Italy has recently announced its approval for a single broadband network proposal. This is to be presented to the Telecom Italia (TIM) soon – as a part of the bid to resolve ongoing debates on the control of the future network.

A plan is supposed to restrict TIM’s control of the upcoming network – while letting it retain a majority of the share. This has been presented to Italy’s PM and ministry by the state lender head CDP. Sources indicated that the roadmap for the network development could be shared to TIM shortly, in the form of the Memorandum of Understanding.
