Intuition Robotics Secures $36 Million in Funding For AI Companions

Robotics startup Intuition Robotics has secured $36 million in a Series B funding. The company plans to use the raised capital to fund the continued development of its tech and AI capabilities. The latest round of funding was led by Sparx Group and OurCrowd, with participation from Samsung Next, Toyota AI Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, iRobot, Sompo Holdings, Union Tech Ventures, Happiness Capital, and Capital Point.

The Israel-based startup is best known for its ElliQ robot, a digital home companion for the elderly. Founded in 2015, Intuition Robotics creates “social companion” robots and related technologies. The majority of ElliQ’s users are between 80 and 90 years of age.
